what's a good device for capturing from games?

Post by KiTo~chan » Sun Jun 19, 2011 8:48 am

I'm in the market to buy a capture device to record game footage (mostly from PSP, PS2 and PS3) and I have no idea what to get. I'd prefer something external that can work with either component or composite video. Any suggestions?

You could go for the dazzle, that is if you don't mind the shit quality and you're just looking for something cheap.
If you want something with better quality, you could spend around $200 on a Hauppauge HD PVR or Black Magic Intensity.

my favorite stuff came from the mid-90s really :/ too bad they don't make them any more. If you can find even a DIRT cheap pci based capture card than you got yourself a cheap alternative. It won't do HD but it'll make interactive (meaning non-cutscene) captures much easier.
If you do not think so... you will DIE

like was mentioned earlier...
the Hauppauge HD PVR...
or the Colossus if you have a spare pci-e slot (Doesn't matter which length as an x1 care will fit into any pci-e slot).
