I want to know if it's important to have a good video card.

The FX series is two generations old now. Get a cheap 6800, it'l serve you well.
Video Cards woent do jack far as video editing is concerned. They only help making things alot pretier when playing games. More ram, sticking two 200GB 200rpm sata disks in a striped raid, geting a dual core cpu. That will make a difference to editing.
