Analog input on the DV500 DVD
I have a DV500 DVD and I was wondering if there is a way to view the analog input in a larger resolution than in DV tools and possibly not in DV tools?
What I want to do is hook up a Playstation 2 to my capture card and play it on my computer, hence eliminating the need for a TV. I know that in DV tools you can see the analog input in a small window (I think it is about 352x240) but I want something bigger than that. Is this possible? If so, what program can I use to do it?
I appreciate any input.

Blast! Can no one answer my question? If there is indeed a program that is capable of doing what I want to be able to, it will free up tons of room in my dorm! The posibilities would be sweet. I could hook up a VCR through my capture card and use that to watch TV. I just need to know if it is capealbe. And no, I will NOT go and buy a TV tuner card or something like that.
Thanks, if anyone can give me some sort of help.

The DV500 is meant for VIDEO EDITING, the breakout box is meant for CAPTURING not as an adapter to play or watch TV on your computer.

That’s too bad. Thanks again for the replies ErMaC and klinky.
TokyoU15, I use my DV500 for editing a lot. I wouldn’t buy a product if I didn’t intend to use it for its main purpose. I especially wouldn’t buy a $400 product if I didn’t know what I was going to use it for. I don’t see anything wrong in tying to expand the possibilities of a product. Besides, video editing is all about thinking “outside the box”. Am I wrong?

Chill man, I'm just emphasizing the fact that the DV500 is only for editing, go ahead and try new things as much as you want, just letting ya know it's not meant for anything other than editing and capturing.
