not a problem ^^

. the set-up I am using is fairly out-of-date but it can do what I want it to;
RAM = 184 pin ( 2 stick's as required by the Barton Design ) totalling 2gig.
Multi-Processers = AMD 2500+ Barton
Hard Drive's = 720gig
Sound Card is the 96k-WAVE ( 8 channel in / 8 channel out )
Video Cards are all Radium 7000's

with this basic system, there are not many things that I can not do with it.

however, not many people today would even know where to begin to update it

when it comes to computers . . just get what you need - unless you really know what your doing ^^

T_T is that plain enough ???

what about plain old dvd ripping?? just by using ur dvd rom drive and some other nit pic programs. im sure there is a guide for it some where. if you want a caputre card i would advise getting a dazzle hollywood dv bridge. they work great for directshow type programs.

184pin is more commonly called DDR-SDRAM or DDR for short.

There is no Radium card, it's ATi Radeon.

I don't believe Barton Athlon CPUs require 2x DIMMs. o.O nVidia dual-channel memory does.

Also being a bit more descriptive about the parts would be nice. Such as hard drive maker, rotation speed. Motherboard model? Soundcard model :o.

All helpful.

But what is sounds like is you have a

Athlon 2500+ (333Mhz)
2GB of DDR Ram
720GB hard drive space
~sound card~
Radeon 7000 video card

Which is pretty good for editing. The card is crap for games. But video editing, the video card doesn't really matter.
