Pinnacle PCTV Delux? Yay or Nay?

I was wondering about the Pinnacle PCTV Delux External Capture box. So far I have been through 2 capture cards and no luck with good quality at full screen.

All I really need is a descent capture card that I can watch tv and to schedule recording times so I won't miss my shows. I already have a S-Video input on my GeForce Ti4600 which is superb in every way. All I need now is good clean "Quality" fun product.

Does anyone out there have this product, seen it, or known about it. If you can see if you can find a screen capture in fullscreen mode. I run my monitor at 1280x1024 @75Hz if that helps in any wierd way.

The capture card brands I've used in the past that sucked:
AverMedia and ATI

P.S. Don't worry about the Pinnacles USB hook-up speed. I have 2.0 so that's not a problem.

The problem is that TV (broadcast/cable) is a much smaller resolution than what you currently have your monitor running at... That is the crux of your problem, and you'll have a hard time getting past that. The Composite in or S-Video in on your Ti-4600 will be adequate for that if you want to capture tho.

Damn I figured as much. . . oh well, that means that old extenal AverMedia Cable Box was just smoothing the picture or something like that. It was directly connected to the monitor so I couldn't record with that. :/ hmmm.

Well I still want to change to external so I can have a remote in my hand. . .

So does anyone still know about this Pinnacle thing?

I hear the old ver sucks (and of coarse recording is HORRIBLE).... ask at tv-cards.com. ya don't need an external for a clicker. get a cordless mouse (made by Microsoft or Logitech, I suggest and have the MX700) or you can buy a 3rd party clicker but I have a mouse and clicker, it makes no sence to have both -_- I'm really stupid... anyway even I can see the mouse is much better (OPTICLE you don't want a pad to lug around). I only have a clicker cuz my Asus cap card came with one.
