Via chip sets kick ass!

I'm using a KT3 Ultra-2 by MSI and is has the Via KT333 Chipset. Very sweet! The only thing bette that I know of is the KT400

But what is all this about SATA?
Now I know that IDE, ATA, UltraATE blah blah blah, is basicly all the same dome thing (it all interfaces the same anyway) but what exactly is the difference, speed?

I want to know because I need to be the best Lain I can be!

I think I'm going to be sick...

I've dealt with almost every iteration of via's K7 chipsets from the KT133 on, and the Apollo 133 & 133a too, and they all pretty much suck. The only thing they have going for them is price.

In its day, the AMD 760 was a much better choice than the competing VIA chipset, and honestly, I liked the ALI majik 1 better than VIA's KT266.

The KT333 & 400 suck less that the others because they are simply more refined iterations of the earlier ones, and VIA's had time to work out most of the bugs, but they still have quirks and hardware compatibility issues that you just don't see from other chipsets.

I used to like the Nforce, but it seems most of those boards have little issues here and there, and any tech forum you go to will be filled with people asking about problems with their Nforce2 boards.

I'm fed up with fussy hardware and instability. I have no plans to build another Athlon based system until I'm convinced that there is a chipset for it that rivals the compatibility and stability of Intel's 845 & 850 .

Don't try to accuse me of AMD bashing or not knowing how to build a stable system. I have three Athlon based machines here, including a duallie, and two p4's. Plus a couple of spare unlocked Tbirds in a drawer.

Most of my systems can run at 100%cpu for weeks without crashing, but the Athlon systems each have their own little "issues" that I have to deal with, and the P4's just plain don't.

Will someone, anyone, please build an AMD chipset with up to date features that doesn't suck? please?

Well, me never have problem, and it seams like everyone and his mother is giving my Mobo, and the Via chipset awards out the ass. They can't all be wrong.
