Help compressing

Post by lordgohan » Sun Mar 23, 2008 1:21 pm

Alright, I need to compress this amv i made, but im not sure how. (the export is 899 megabytes) I'm trying to use vdubmod, combined with avisynth (vdub wont take my amv file straight) but vdub wont display the audio, or rather is off when i use a different script.
the script im using is:

DirectShowSource("C:\Documents and Settings\Alec Bush\Desktop\air amv 4.AVI")

Can anyone help? or am i totally off track here...?
thanks.

All i wanna do is upload it on youtube or animemusicvideos.org, I just need to know what exactly to do, I'm a noob when it comes to all the video lingo and such.

Can't get easier than following these steps.

Alright, i have a question:

where it says: "If your AviSynth script contains audio, it will automatically be loaded as well"

how do I know if I loaded my audio?

Like, will the script mentioned above include audio? or do I have to create an entirly new and different script?

thanks again!

if you've loaded the script in VDubmod and it plays audio, synced or not, then yes, you have audio.

Well, your audio is generally imported by default (only ffmpegsource doesn't import audio by default). Anyway, when you import an avs script in zarx264gui, if the input audio field is filled, it means you have audio. If the input video field is filled but the input audio field is not, than it means that you have to manually import an audio track, which you might want to export as a wav from your project if needed.

Maybe you should first figure out why Virtualdub is choking on your master file. If you can do that, then you won't need to dick around with feeding your audio through AVIsynth.

The master file is uncompressed, right? Audio and video?
Ask me about my secret stash of videos that can't be found anywhere anymore.

It was made by using adobe premiere cs3.
