Compression Windows Movie Maker

Hello I take movies with my Camcorder which lead to extremely large uncompressed videos. Windows Movie Maker is very good at compressing these videos small enough such that the loss in quality is almost unnoticable.

However Windows Movie Maker is a very buggy and very SHITTY program.... If it wasn't so buggy I would use it...

So I'm looking for an alternative... Adboe Premeire doesn't quite cut it... I can't figure out how to compress my movies without losing quality AND sacrificing DISK SPACE.... Please help I've been searching for an answer for a long time... thanks

you might want to try windows media encoder instead of WMM if you are happy with wmv files
