Okay, whenever I play the HufFYUV files of my amvs I get this:

When I should get this (and have, mere hours before):

The colorspace issues do not appear in editing programs.

WTF, mate?

I think this may be a YUV colorspace bug in your video driver's overlay support. I've seen similar before, and upgrading video drivers fixed it. The video file had always been fine, but the colors would be screwed up on playback in anything that used overlays.

You can test this by changing Media Player Classic's output settings (View->Options, Playback, Output). Try changing the "DirectShow Video" setting to various other settings, such as "Old Renderer" and "Haali's Renderer". If it is an overlay problem, at least one of these modes should kill it.

Another way to test, that should work in any media player, would be to go to the display properties control panel (right-click on your desktop->properties). On the settings tab, click the "Advanced" button. Then go to the Troubleshoot tab, and drag the "Hardware accelleration" box down to "None" and apply it. Remember to change it back to where it was when you are done, as this will have turned off all hardware accelleration.

To keep the effect, I think you just need to discard the V color plane in YUV colorspaces (or set it to all zeros).

That looks rather similar to what happens when you try to run MUGEN on 24bit color instead of 16 or 32. Dunno if that's related in some way, though (not explicitly, I just mean underlying similarity).

If you're using Adobe Premiere Pro, you can use the Invert effect and set it to invert one of the chrominance planes in the YIQ model (I don't remember whether "in-phase chrominance" or "quadrature chrominance" is roughly equivalent to the blue offset (U) plane in YUV, but it does look like the blue offset plane is the one to invert).

Happened to 2 of my Vids before, but I just saved the file again and the problem was solved.
