Sometimes. Use DirectShowSource.

<a href="http://www.videohelp.com/tools?tool=691 ... ractGUI</a>
make sure you have all the prerequisites though, especially since this is only a GUI for mkvtoolnix (mkvextract/ mkvmerge)... sometimes it can get messy.

but my first suggestion is to get the <a href="http://haali.cs.msu.ru/mkv/">Haali Media Splitter</a> then try running the mkv through a DirectShowSource script in vdubmod, like godix pointed towards.

I hope this helps :\

... um well first just try running the mkv through directshowsource in vdubmod...

------>this is how you do it:

required tools:
<a href="http://haali.cs.msu.ru/mkv/">Haali Media Splitter</a>
<a href="http://www.doom9.org/">AviSynth 2.57</a>
<a href="http://www.doom9.org/">VirtualDubMod 1.5.10.1</a>
probably <a href="http://www.doom9.org/">ffdshow?</a>

-create a new text file
-write this: directshowsource("C:\filepathofyourmkv.mkv")
-save file
-change the file extension from .txt to .avs (show extensions in windows explorer by going Tools>>Folder Options>>view>>uncheck 'hide extensions for known file types')
-open the .avs file in VirtualDubMod
----------------------

and that link there isn't half bad either
like it says, things you'll definitely need:

matroska / MKV Codec : i'd get the Haali Media Splitter and ffdshow
Ogg DirectShow Filter / OggDS / OGM Codec : i'd get avisynth
VirtualdubMod: ditto
Lame MP3: ---
-----------------------

as far as I know, videohelp.com is legit, but it's understandable if you want a second opinion

if you're still interested in ffdshow, that site shows daily builds [that are updated all the time whenever something new is added/fixed]. Therefore, you want the latest one... biggest #... ffdshow-20051129.exe.... which will work... as of nov 29 2005....

sorry.

...searching latest build....

...you can get a 2007 beta [i'm using one now and works fine]

http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video ... fdshow.cfm

or i think the latest confirmed stable build is FFDSHOW rev. 610 (20061201)

Glad to see that thing you used worked out :\ But if you want something fully functional, you're always welcome here
