Post by Garoes » Sat Nov 05, 2011 1:38 pm

Hey, i'm quite new to making amvs.
I've been using zarx264gui for a while now , and today it's come into my head; What is the best software for the job?
I'm really awful when it comes to googling things like things, so I want to hear it from you guys.
What's the best encoding software for amvs ? ^^

P.S: Please forgive my horrible grammour.

Zarxgui is mighty fine for most amver's needs, really, you don't need to worry.

Zarx264gui is just an interface for x264, which is the best encoding software around.
If you need more control, you can just run x264 from the commandline.

But then there's the whole audio deal, which could technically be better. :ying:
But again, it's fine.

x264 doesn't support audio really, that's a set of poorly maintained patches. x262 is kinda badass tho, aside from being both an H.264 AND H.262 encoder. The 4 or so different UT Video encoders are kinda lol too, although not particularly amazing spec wise.
