you don't need to make a new project, you just need to look at the video tab instead of the general tab in the export menu

you might be able to encode to .mp4 in premiere, but you shouldn't.
premiere pro's export sucks, no matter what version you use.

go to export, movie
under general, select microsoft avi, uncheck export audio
under video, choose uncompressed for the compression...and leave everything else alone

you should then be able to export your video

you'll want to export your audio seperately, and make sure to set the sample rate at 44.1KHz. use either wav compression or uncompressed

I've personally never used zarx264GUI, so I'm just assuming you drag and drop the video and audio files into it

if I missed something or am becoming hard to understand...it's probably because it's 4am local time

Hmm, well normally rendering doesn't take too long, especially since I use the preview screen to just nip what I want before putting it into the timeline. It's an exception because it's resolution is so unbelievably large, not to mention my computer needs a RAM upgrade...

Anyway, do you know what's wrong with the exporting? Like, why it doesn't allow me any other options?

it's there, I just think you're looking in the wrong place

of all those options, you'll only want to use huffyuv or none

Nah sorry dude, it's my bad, I didn't see this post because I was typing a reply at the time. I've done what you said and it's all good, but I don't know which one is H264 >.>

So right now I'm exporting as XviD MPEG-4

Also, what do you mean by "export your audio seperately"?

Ok well you're probably asleep, so hopefully you will read this when you wake up ^_^;;

Tried exporting as XviD MPEG-4 but the XviD thing just froze up one me. Twice.

Tried exporting as Indeo video 5.10, it worked, but:
1) Quality sucked
2) Couldn't seem to go fullscreen

I am honestly befuddled. I tried Huffyuv but it said I has no free space, so I don't really know what else to do

(btw, why do you untick audio?)

*sorry for the triple post ;_;

Yeah um... this is starting to piss me off. I can't even render my work (not to mention that I can't export it properly either)

Well, if anyone would like to point out the glaringly obvious flaw in my judgement, please feel free to do so.

Thanks, and uh... AMVapps can just go die, I don't know how many times it made me cry trying to get it working ;_;

*Oh God, the shame... for me to have to resort to quad-posting...

I removed a whole bunch of movies off my HDD, and then tried to render again. What do ya know? It was a memory problem (though I still had around 3gb left, which in retrospect probably wasn't enough)

That aside, I rendered it as HUFFyuv, resulting in a 997mb file (yay) with this problem:

Yeah, talk about interlacing issues O.o

However, it has nothing to do with the source footage, which I would show you, if only the cursed screen dump let me.

I exported the other one as Indeo video 5.10 like the one in your screendump, resulting in footage with better quality (no interlacing apparent) but, for some reason it won't go fullscreen.

I would double click it, and it just goes blank. Yet it plays perfectly fine at default size. Beats me. The file size ended up as 82mb, which is still huge (considering the video is a mere 2:30 minutes.

What to do... what to do...

that pic resolution is a bit funny and might be the problem - i think the resolution numbers need to be mod16 for best results so maybe try 640x368 - also check the fields option when exporting is set correctly

I made sure the fields were correct before exporting. I based the resolution off "Magic Pad" which ran a 640x360 res (16:9 aspect ratio)

What's mod16 btw?

Also, my friend said the problem of my video dissapearing could be fixed by restarting my computer, though I'm not sure how true this is, I guess I'll see in the morning eh.

its the fact that most resolutions need to be divisible by 16.
