Can someone recommend any software(s) that can format and actually burn SVCDs??
I already checked out Doom9...I just want to know what else there is out there.

one question while i'm here...
will a player that supports VCDs or SVCDs play MPEG files that are non-standard?
(example: an MPEG encoded at 512x360 resolution or something weird like that)
...or rather maybe, will most burner programs format those MPEG files in the first place?

What I do to convert AMVs that I've downloaded to SVCD goes like this:Ko Oh Yoku wrote:will a player that supports VCDs or SVCDs play MPEG files that are non-standard?

1) Download AMV
2) Use TMPGEnc and use the wizard to convert the file to SVCD.
3) Use VCDEasy to take the SVCD file and burn it to the CD-R.
4) Depending on how I've tweaked my settings and my source footage, the final product can look as good as a DVD on my Apex 600A player!
Burner programs don't really do much converting at all (except Nero), and since there are standards, DVD player manufacturers don't really deviate, I recomend checking VCDHelp.com for compatibility info.
