AVISynth being an ass
I'm having a real problem getting my .avs files to work. I saved a DVD2AVI project, and created an .avs file pointing to the project. Yet somehow, I'm not able to open it in either VirtualDub or Windows Media Player.
VirtualDub says it doesn't recognize .avs and MP says that my .d2v file is invalid, even though I re-created the file about three times.

nice double post N00B!
No no, not really :O I've done it before.
Well it sounds like something is wrong with the AVISynth installation if vDub won't open it
Are you using the AMVapp pack ? or something else.
I'd try re-installing the AMV app pack, if that fails, possibly try using DVD2AVI 1.86, instead of 1.76 ^_^

I re-loaded my AMVapp and installed the latest DVD2AVI. I tried again, but I think I know what the problem may be. I'm not sure how to load the .avs files INTO VirtualDub.
At first I was loading them like one would load an .avi or video file. That didn't work. Then I selected "Run Script", but when I do that, they only ask for .vcf, .syl, .jobs files.
I think I'm doing something wrong here, but I'm not sure what. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Do you have any spaces in either your path or filename, as entered inot your AVS?
If so, that's the problem.
