Mac problems driving me crazy.

Post by AniHawk » Tue Apr 18, 2006 8:29 pm

I have this video I made nearly a year ago that's right here:

I made it, it was done. It was finished, it worked. Then I got a new Mac (well, the decision was kinda thrusted upon us, but that's besides the point), and I can't get sound anymore. The sound from my Cowboy Bebop video from earlier last year works fine, but not this. I've tried another program in which I've been able to watch the video with the sound, but I'm not able to view it on Quicktime, which is what I really want, since that means I can move it to iDVD, and I really don't want to redo the audio since that means re-editting the song. Bah.

Anyway, any help is appreciated.

don't know if this would make a difference or not, but the codec for said video is
"
Audio Track MP1/2 @ 128 kbps
48 kHz, stereophonic sound
"

not mp3, mayhaps that has something to do with it.

/end
Oh how convenient. A theory about God that doesn't require looking through a telescope.

OK VLC will play the video. But as I can see that is not what you are asking. I see it is a DivX avi, so if you go here
you may find something that can help. So if you want to play it Quicktime I would suggest DivX 6.0.2, since that will do that. However that costs $20. There is also a program you can get which will put just about any video format onto DVD, and it is Roxio Toast. I have this and I have put some XviD files of mine on to DVD to watch on a DVD player.

Divx Doctor has fixed a lot of similar problems for me. "Audio glitches inherent in the AVI format will be fixed."
