I have this song, Behind Blue Eyes from Limp Bizkit.
ANd there's this one part of the song(not the whole thing) where I want to remove the "Discover l-i-m-p. Say it." part.
It totally throuws the whole mood off.
I'd cut the whole part of that song out, but the music there behind the lyrics is nice and I still want it.
So, I have Audacity, and I heard that Adobe Audition might be able to do it.
So I was thinking of downloading the trial just to do this one thing.
But I don't want to waste the whole trial away by trying to figure out how to do it, instead of just... Doing it.
The next problem I can foresee is that the music in that part is kind of robotic, and the voice is robotic too. So I'm thinking there might be some feedback, as what happens sometimes with Audacity in the same situations.
Or, is there a completely orchestral version of Behind Blue Eyes I could just replace that part of the song with?
Anyone know how to remove lyrics from audio?

does that musical section repeat anywhere else in the song? if so, you can do the copy and paste over method.
otherwise, the hax methods for removing vocals are inverting one of the channels and combining the channels into one (the idea being that vocals, usually placed in the center of the recording field, should have identical contributions to the left and right channels, and inverting one should cancel the other) and filtering out a frequency range near the fundamentals of the vocals (100-400hz for male singer).
