ello~ can someone tell me how to do the dance spot light effect in adobe premiere 6.5.

The color spot lights you see above in the two pics are meant to moving left to right.

im pretty sure you have to use photoshop to make that white line, however i just cant quite get it like the one in the screenshot. Really need to know how to do these effects before i continue on with my project. thx in advance.

For the first effect there should be some spotlight effect that you can just keyframe.

For the second, make the column with the gradient tool. Apply a touch of blur filter and give it an opacity of 50 or whatever, depending on how seethrough you want it to be. make sure to save in an RGBA compatible format such as png.

Well, that didn't involve anything canned. It involves smart use of "Transparency Track Matte" and then using the 'adjust levels' function for the neat colors.

I used a gradient for the non-colored part and then another for the colored part and then a 3rd to make sure the back end wasn't black...

If you don't get what I just said, then don't try special fx... :D
