Compression troubles

The trouble is, i have no clue on how to properly compress it down to size. I'm quite confused and am in need of guidance, albeit by help here on the forum. but i'd much rather prefer help via Msn if someone would be so inclined -- Curtisbure@hotmail.com

I see, i've not yet actually gotten anything but virtual dub, i made a video that i quite like, although it's ridiculous in size and i can't place it upon this site due to the size. So im not sure which programs to get and what versions of which.. and the sites are not all that user friendly that i've visited
