Piano keys in premiere 6.5

Post by Ninjafox » Wed Nov 02, 2005 3:24 am

ello, my exams are all ova :) so ive started a new project and many more to come ^_^. Anyway wat i need to know is how to make "piano keys" in premiere 6.5 much like this:

picture from "another accidental love story" by AuN studios. However i can only get mine like this:

where the area is black, i want that part to have 100% transperancy, so there'd only be that single white line.

Right-click on the clip, pull up the Transparency options, and drag the handles in the box that shows the clip until only the part covered by the white line is revealed.

Alternatively, you could use the Clip effect, but this gets messy if you're going to have multiple keys on the screen at any point in time, because the Clip effect fills in the cropped portions with a fill color instead of making them transparent. Thank goodness for Premiere Pro's Garbage Matte, I say. :)

ahhh icic, cool i got it. Yeh i tried using the clip effect but bleh i didnt really get anywhere with it :P. Sorry i forgot to mention this other question when i first made this thread. umm, how do i "move" that piano key in a different position. e.g. if i wanted it at the far left instead of it being in the middle

sorry ive got another question so i might as well say it here instead of making another new thread. Im having trouble viewing more than 1 effect. I added the effect radial blur, echo and zig zag however the only one that im able to view is the echo effect, the other two are not visible. After reading the help i was trying out keyframes but i still wasnt able to get it ><. i probably did something wrong :S .
