What compressor should I use for my amv? Or what would be the best settings for the video settings?

Something lossless, like HuffYUV or Lagarith.

And then, once you have the HuffYUV or Lagarith output from premiere, you can then use whatever you need to be able to compress it for cons and distribution. I suggest keeping the HuffYUV or Lagarith output on a CD or DVD, or even a DV avi file or a high quality MPEG2 file, so you have a master copy you can use to compress to other formats if need be. (such as compressing something to send to a con that takes a different format than you have already.)
