Video Degradation

Post by lastfire_677 » Sun Sep 25, 2005 12:23 am

Hi I'm a noob with computer video and AMV's . I have a question that I hope someone is willin to help me with. I have been storing All the Video clips that I have on my hard drive and they are degrading fairly rapidly (they were crisp and clear now they are framy and distorted) I did not change anything on my comp except that I downloaded and installed some additional codecs I was wondering "Is it normal for high quality video to degrade rapidly and is there any way to stop it from happening?" I would very much appreciate any help you could offer with this problemas it is making attempting to created an AMV almost impossible .

List:

(2) The old codecs you were using for encode and decode. Name, version, the works.
(3) The new codecs you are using for encode and decode. Same information.

It is very likely that an incompatibility exists between (2) and (3).
