conversion problem

ok here is the thing the lamemp3 thing will not work for some odd reason. So I tried to use dr. divx and it screwed my video editing program I would get errors like no video stream. So my problem here is that I cant compress the audio the lame mp3 I get an error like missing codec or error loading codec. Please someone help.

Try downloading the audio converter headache from www.doom9.org and give lamemp3 another shot, maybe your settings are wrong in whatever program your using for your conversion.

I am use vegas 5.0 I tried the headache and it didnt work this is what I get when I render the file. An error has occured while opening a codec. maybe I have a codec in the wrong place?
