Making SPECIFIC Masks Without AE or Photoshop

Post by taifunbrowser » Fri Apr 29, 2005 8:51 pm

I saw a topic a while back that explains how to mask an image with a circular mask, but do any of you experts here have any suggestions on how to use after effects to "cut out" a character from a clip, (no movement, so that should be relatively easy) and edit with it as if it was on a transparent background. I tried making a mask, but it ended up being off where I "traced" the character in paint (omigosh! paint?) Neway... i was just wondering if there is an easy way to get a specific mask for a complex figure and without photoshop or ae get it on a transparent background- wow! i'm rambling! lololol

Without a half-decent image editor, I'd say its not even worth attempting.
