I have little to no use for MIDI files, but winamp can play them, right?

If so, why not use the disc writer plugin from winamp to make a .wav file of the midi playing, and edit with that?

Ok yes I will try, but I won´t to know a VEP, that can use midi files with out changing them into another file-format such as .mp3!

I do not know of any such program, and I do not think one exists.

You are quite right in suggesting that there are no programs available... The reason for this is that MIDI is an audio control file not an actual audio file, however I believe Vegas has MTC (Midi Time Code) streaming thus you can use MIDI to sync to other programs. Perhaps programs that can handle midi files. Basically most multitrack audio programs have this capability.
