I think that has to do with the encoding thread getting itself locked in a loop.

I don't think, though, that the "possible livelock" messages have anything to do with A/V desync. I've gotten these messages before, but there was never anything wrong with the actual output file.

Livelock is when a number of concurrent threads or processes cycle in an instruction sequence, waiting for the other to do something. Compare this to deadlock, in which a number of concurrent threads or processes quite literally just sit there and wait on each other.

As far as the desync, more information is needed. I've seen VirtualDub's livelock detection go off multiple times and haven't had synchronization problems. What are you encoding to, both video and audio? Are you sure it's even in sync in the first place? What happens if you just encode a small section of the thing?

ok...for example...
I star playing the video...the music and the video go well in DivX player if I don't fast forward it...but if I do...then the video apeared in a part before where it should be....but the music continues well...
let say that the video is played 100% until a certain time...then it's motion slow down to 95% then to 80%...and so...think it stay in 80% 'cause the video still look well..but in slowmotion...explained

If you just play the whole thing straight through without jumping around, what happens?

In Windows Media Player: :(
It goes well till a certain point ...then the motion slow down...and when finished the music normally stop but the video go and go till it finish in slow motion....

In DivX Player: :?
The video goes well till the end....if I fastforward it then it take about 2 or 3 seconds to sync the video with the audio (the video goes fastmotion till it sync) then it go well till the end

In Real Player: :)
as in DivX Player the video goes well till the end....if I fastforward it then it takes about 4 or 5 seconds to sync again (the video is not played till the sync is done)...or don't sync at all in the whole video...

In MAGIX Media Manager Platinum: :P
The video goes well even if I fastforward it but it takes about 1 second to sync the video with the audio ...don't stop playing the video while that just a bit of fastmotion instead...

Think these are the common Media Player....and this is what happens on each one of them :D
