I'm not sure what you mean. An avs file is a text script that avisynth uses to determine how to adjust the source video. An avs file is very small compared to actual video footage.
The footage that it feeds/frameserves to other programs is uncompressed avi, but it won't take up any hard drive space unless you save it via a program such as virtual dub. The ammount of space such a file would take up depends on a number of factors including: Frame rate, Resolution, codec/settings used for compression, and the amount of motion in the video.
