Hi,

no more probs with codecs !
i just found the mplayer(linux) for win32 :)
ftp://ftp.mplayerhq.hu/MPlayer/releases/win32-beta/

hey win-folks use this, if ya can't watch an AMV because of codec lack ^^
mplayer can play them all :)

But if they are too dumb to install such a simple thing as a codec properly, you can bet you ass they won't be able to figure out how to run a command line based video player :wink:

MPlayer is cool. I use it on Linux and Mac OSX sometimes but I personally use the Mplayer package because of mencoder ... that's it. I abuse mencoder a lot. Otherwise, I just use VLC: www.videolan.org
Yeah ... I use a Mac ... it works and I like it.

whats the use of bothering with a media player that doesnt have a proper gui ? i mean, its a prety anoying pain to have to open the command prompt every time you wana open a video, or pause or fastforward or anything. and thier are plenty of great, free win32 media players out anyway
