Anime Clips or Movies in MPEG format

does anyone know where I can get some decent quality clips or movies in MPEG format. I have to do this because i can't successfully convert divx to avi or mpeg, plz help me

First. Divx IS AVI.

Second. Virtual Dub. If you don't have it, you should get it. It will fix at least one of your problems.

If you still can't make uncompressed clips using Virtual Dub, either there may be no hope for you, or there may be no hope for your editing setup. Simple to figure out, simple to run.

No, you won't find the files... they don't exist...

What does concern me is... Why can't you convert to MPEG1 or another codec besides divx (assumes that's what avi means)?

Declan_Vee of all people should know that digisubs don't suck...

The Chobits Digisubs I have ARE DVD rips...

You'd have better luck locating just about anythign else BUT decent mpeg clips for an AMV. Besides, I still disagree with downloading footage.

I never said Digisubs suck. I said HQ video clips in MPEG1 don't exist as far as readily available web distro goes... (Yes I know that isn't what I said, but it is what I meant) By the sounds of things this guy has Digisubs... or something, because he's talking about "converting them to MPEG"

This poster wants footage, apparently. NO! You buy the DVDs if they're available for the series, or go without. No one has an obligation to give you free footage, no one should, and no one (hopefully) will. Moocher.

Another option is to convert analog VHS to DV, whether it be through your capture card or a pass-through system with a digital camcorder.

Doubtless there are titles not available on domestic DVD, but are taking up space in retailers' bargain bins.
