MPEG-2 trouble on notebooks

Post by Bushido Philosopher » Sat May 08, 2004 10:42 am

One very annoying problem on my notebook is that when trying to run an MPEG-2 encoding job (like TMPGEnc or something), the output file always ends up in an error. Adding to that, while Windows Explorer is in thumbnail view, it does not show the actual thumbnail, just an icon. MPEG-2 does play on it, it's just encoding for it that's the problem.

I've tried it on 2 other notebooks (all recently made, like only a few months old) and they also have similar problems with it.

Anyone have something similiar or can help me with this?
