converting to .rm

yo, i just wanted to see if someone could do me a quick little favor

i just finished a video (haven't actually tweaked but that can be done later)
and i want to show it to a friend, but since he has 56k, i need someone to re-encode my 87 megabyte .avi to a much smaller .rm file for me

so in case you haven't guessed, i need someone with broadband internet or else there's no point

that's really all i'm asking, just a conversion and send it back to me over AIM or maybe MSN messenger, but i think AIM is faster

just convert it to wmv9. its compresion technology is much beter than any crap from real media

Go back to Premier and output the AMV from it's original file to Divx, only use a LOWERBITRATE. For Dialup try 500kbps, maybe 750.

Nah, rm looks *way* better at small sizes.

tried the lower bitrate idea

still came up 78 mbs
525 kb/s
resolution was at 304x136 (should've been 176 though)
used DivX pro codec

so unless there's something else that might work i guess i'll just wait to see how Tab does with the conversion

at that point... no... good point, i actually forgot i was working with .wav i don't usually encounter .wav files, used to .mp3's

i think i need sum plugins for audio compressors

i didn't see an option to save the audio as an .mp3
so i did what i could [which what noob premiere skills i have]

used uncompressed with 5000 whatever at 8bit stereo sound

came out sounding like crap at 21 mbs with horrible video quality of course which has nothing to do with audio

but either way, thnx for trying, i'm pretty sure Tab's .rm version will look and sound better than any crap i can do this late at night, plus his will probably be smaller file size too, so g'nite pplz

i'll let you know how it turns out so you know when to stop answering to this topic, heh heh... or just spam it and wait for a mod to lock it, either wa it's kule wit me
