non-amv music videos, are they allowed?

Post by akirahz » Wed May 05, 2004 2:40 pm

i made a pretty nifty non amv video, still a music video, but i was curious if they are welcome to post for download, i know they cannot go on the amv servers, but i have it hosted on 4 other servers, two in the USA and two in germany, would it be alright to post the links and or info about the video? or would members get pisst off?

btw "it concernes DOOM III"

A, this should be in Site Help, not General Video.

B, this is AnimeMusicVideos.Org, not DoomMusicVideos.Org or AnythingMusicVideos.Org. The site will not allow you to list videos that have non-anime as source, and if you try to mislead the server by listing an anime and then uploading your Doom III video then your video will be deleted and you're subject to punishment from the moderators.

You can post in the forum about them, but you can't enter them into the database (anymore).

huh?
i thought you can enter them in the database and provide indirect/direct links to non-anime music videos. all that does is disqualify you for the VCAs though.

Okay, technically you can, but it's against the rules, and the VCA DQ'tion is the enforcement of that rule. Last I checked.

VCA = Viewers' Choice Awards. It's the annual a-m-v.org video award competition.
