weird lines on ripped dvd footage?

Post by nemesis310 » Tue Dec 09, 2003 6:41 pm

this is the first time ive tried ripping dvd footage and i tried viewing it in DVD2AVI and by using AVS to use it in premiere and it always has these weird lines running through the picture wherever there is movement. i tried it with other dvds also and it always appears. what is this and how do i get rid of it?

It's interlacing. Read about it here:
http://www.animemusicvideos.org/guides/ ... deo2.htm#1
(reading the whole guide would be good)

One way to get rid of it is inverse telecine. Read the guides.
This should be in something like General Video.
