I don't know if this is a hardware problem or software problem, so I am posting it here.
I noticed when playing back Evangelion DVD number 8, (episodes 24-26) on my computer, whenever the scene made a cut the picture kinda jumps around. I had never noticed it on TV (playing through my PS2). I don't know if it is my Sony DVD-rom or the program that came with it (powerDVD). I ripped the footage using DVD Decrypter, then DVD2AVI to make a .D2V file and AVIsynth to import it into Premiere, and the jumps are still there. Anyone know what is going on here? I do not have any of the other DVDs yet, so I can't compare them, but I know it did not happen with the movies, or anything else I have viewed on my DVD-rom.
I will try to upload a small clip so you can see what I am talking about.

here is an example of the problem, it can be seen during the two cuts in the video, just before and after each cut.

Hi,
Thanks for buying are crappy DVDs. We did a poor job mastering them. Crappy telecine and not to mention cel jerking during scenes and especially during transitions. To fix this problem we ask you give us another $350 so you can buy a boxset you should have gotten in the first place. You'll enjoy this one much better. Thanks for being suckered.
Sincerely,
Gainax
