Converting Videos With Dual Audio

Post by General Agemo » Tue Jan 22, 2019 11:55 pm

I need to convert some videos to work on Sony Vegas (they're MKV files), which currently have dual audios. I was wondering if there's a way to convert while retaining both tracks; or if possible; being able to choose one one of the tracks.

The AMVtool in AMVPack should be able to keep both audio tracks when you click "configure all", go to the audio tab, and select use stream "All". viewtopic.php?f=11&t=129470

And that should still work with converting them to AVI correct?

Alright, so I tried converting one video to AVI to test it (also I realized that I didn't mention that they were 10bit; don't know if that changes anything but I apologize leaving that out) and when I went to the audio tab the Use Stream only had 1,2,3, or None. No All option was present.

Unfortunately AVI does not support multiple audio streams.

I was afraid that was going to be the case. So is there no alternative?

I've heard the newest version of Vegas supports 10-bit video, you could recontainer to MP4 if you are using the latest version.

Alright, I'll see about getting my hands on the newer version to test it out
