Hi,
Forgive me, I know this is a really really common question but I swear I can't find the answer anywhere. I've watched tons of AMVs on youtube with really good and crisp audio from popular artists, with no distortion, and not speeded up or slowed down. But whenever I try to upload an AMV, youtube mutes the video. The last time I tried this I even edited the audio slightly in iMovie, but no dice.
How have so many people gotten around youtube's automatic copyright flags?

Re: Youtube copyright?
They don't, some music is allowed and others are not. If it is one that is giving you trouble, they could have disputed the claim and have it up for a while. It's really hit or miss and there are no "this is what you do" answers.

Re: Youtube copyright?
If the song is being muted, it's what the licensor decided regarding that song on YouTube. If you lose the dispute and the appeal, you'll get a copyright strike on YouTube.
