While we're waiting for the Golden Donut, I'd like to direct yours attention to an interesting website I found.
http://www.anenga.com/shareaza/website/
It describes an easy process to allow anyone to distribute their AMVs without having to find hosting somewhere. I already tried this with my newest AMV, try it out:

Do you think this could work out?

I don't see either in the future for my AMVs.
Aww yes, but so does P2P networks, including Gnutella2. All it does is make a hash ID of the file, then setups up internet explorer to accept special magnet links. You copy the the magnet link from Gnutella2, then add it to your website. When someone clicks on it, it launches Gnutella2 & gives it the hashID. Then Gnutella2 starts searching the network for the file.
This has been implemented in other programs as well. I believe the first to use it was eDonnkey. It has been sort of hacked into Kazaa what with Sid2Dat.
This isn't really anything new. It still requires that you be on atleast long enough to share the file out to someone else. If no one else is sharing your AMV, the persons download will stall until someone has it. The upside is that most P2P users leave their clients running then they would a BitTorrent. So that may help out.
I was able to download one of my AMVs off Kazaa recently, my first one. It took like a week of off and on downloading to get it, since not many people had it and it was going around 1.3KB/sec -_-.
P2P still isn't a great place to distro your AMVs, unless they're insanley popular. AMVs vs latest DVD rips or warez'd games -_- the games and movies are going to win out.
Also Gnutella2 has pissed off alot of the developers of the original Gnutella network clients. Since he actually was not ALLOWED to use the Gnutella2 and Genutella2 has very little relation to the original Genutella.
Still the best method for distro is a actual ALWAYS-ON 24/7 web/ftp server
