Need a good Compression Program.

When i make my Vid's whether they're just clips or AMV's, They always tend to come out around 50megs and up. Is there a program(not realplayer or any wmv crap) I can use that will shrink the size of it down considerably?

I found the problem, i was using an older codec i think it was DIVX 3 and it wasn't completely compressing it, I switched to XVID and its only 7megs now instead of 54megs, and Ed don't be such a rude punk.
