But I just couldn't think of any need I would have for that. As far as it concerns the few .rm file I had on my disc, I captured them once and saved as avi, and now that I've got cable I don't have to download the low-quality RP files anymore

Real9 = teh better than XviD for anime dood
better kwality
in other words, real9 at 1500kbps which is standard cable downstream (at least around here) >= XviD at 1500 kbps

if my friend was on I'd upload the Love Hina intro to his server in Real9 and XviD and you could compare yourself, I'll do it next time he signs on

^ = XviD and Vorbis in an Ogg container. If you don't have the ogg dsfs and xvid installed then download XviD and ogg dsf (and if you want the subs for sakura saku then the ogg subtitle dsf too)

and then
Sakura.rmvb
^ = RealVideo 9 and RealAudio 8 obviously in a realmedia variable bitrate file
If you dont have real9 itll auto-update for you.

they're both 15mb 2-pass vbr files with a video bitrate of 1536 kbps and an audio bitrate of 64kbps for Real and 96kbps for Vorbis.

I have unlimited bandwidth (no, furreal. Its a friend's server) so whoever else wants to compare feel free to do so (it just might be a bit slow, the server is running of cable)

I will say that the Realmedia file looks quite nice...
