OK, are you talking about RAM or hard drive space? 16 terabytes is fucking massive. The NTFS system effectively has no ceiling on home PCs when it comes to file sizes. The same as ATA/133 havine a maximum size detection of 126, 000 times that of ATA/100...

I'll stop now.

Some notes about just how big we're talking about in terms of bytes for maximum NTFS file system size:

(2^64) - 1 clusters, maximum 64 KiB (65536 bytes) / cluster

((2^64 clusters) * 65536 bytes/cluster) - 65536 bytes = 1208925819614629174640640 bytes

1208925819614629174640640 / 2^40 = 1.10 * 10^13 tebibytes = 1.21 * 10^13 terabytes
1208925819614629174640640 / 2^60 = 1.05 * 10^7 exbibytes = 1.21 * 10^7 exabytes

I may have done some of the math wrong (I don't think I did), but I think it's clear that you've an assload of space on your hands. Current PC limitations severely limit do how far we can go, but those are fairly temporary.

I think we should start using that as a unit of measure.
1 assload = X number terabytes.
It's easier to understand that way. Kind of like the way 1 horse actually has 2.3 horsepower. (or asspower since it's based on a Donkey anyway)

Example: "how much space do all these AMV's take up?"
Ans: "somewhere under 1 assload, or about a cheek I'd say."

A few mechanical engineers I know sometimes use "metric fuckton" as a unit of measure here. It's since leaked to other fields of study, although it doesn't always apply that well.

"How much time does this code take to execute?"
"A metric fuckton of time"
