I'm implying that if you intend to get anything that even vaguely RESEMBLES quality, you'd best be using modern software with the exception of your MPEG2 decoder.

Sorry I was in a hurry when I wrote the previous post.
Make sure you thoroughly READ the page of the guide to make sure you understand what it says.
Also you should show us some screenshots of your footage before and after the problem appears, so we can see what you are talking about.

Re: im sure im going to get yelled at for this but:
step 1: open footage in vdub and go to some random frame
step 2: press alt+prtScrn. If you're using a laptop you may need to also press the fn key as well
step 3: open your favorite image editing program (GIMP, Photoshop, Paint,...whatever)
step 4: press ctrl+v to paste the screenshot
step 5: get rid of the rest of the vdub window
step 6: save as a png image
step 7: upload to imageshack (or other image host of your choice)

Re: im sure im going to get yelled at for this but:
Why not just export the frame as a PNG in vdub itself like a normal person? Don't forget to convert the colourimetry to Rec.601 or it will get red shifted.
