anyway, i'm probably both an idiot for asking and an idiot for asking here but where do i post and check out the amv's of this site...

Like i said newbie question'o'mine....hehe... :?
so thanks if u actually reply thoughtfully instead of just burning me...
Don't worry, they are just upset because you asked a question that could have been answered by typing it in the search at the top of the forum.

On the members main page when you first load up the site:

On the right hand side
.....Top Lists (this a good place to find the 'best' amvs)
.....Banners (Those cool AMV banners at the top of the page)
.....New Journal entries (this is where you do your Hey, I'm here rant instead of a forum)
.....New Vid on the Block (where new vids show up automatically)

To the Left you will see....
.....A bunch of profile stuff (it's not that hard)
.....various links
and most importantly:
.....Forum (where you are now)
.....Guides(this is what you want to read.)
Pay particular attention to AbsoluteDestiny and ErMacs guide to all things audio and video. this will get you through 90% of what you need to get going. In this link you will find directions, instructions, codecs and some important much referenced programs like VirtualDub and Avisynth. You will also learn about the fundamentals of what video editing entails. It may seem like a lot of reading, but when you're done you will be able to make your own decisions instead of relying on others to tell you what to do.

The other 10% that you'll need to get started is just being willing to be frustrated for a little while until you get the hang of it. Editing Anime is unique and fun, if you get stuck, and cannot find your answers, don't be too afraid to ask. Just look first since almost everything is out there.

Pity you posted that whole thing and he didn't even ask how to make amvs :|
I think he wants to know how to download. I think theres a sticky at the top of the site help forum about how to download. I'm too lazy to post a link.

Actually, it looks like there were two "shadow" people posting. The first one, thecrimsonshadow, and then shadownova_x.

Why the second one posted after so long, not a clue. I didn't even know threads from that long ago still existed.

that one slid right under the radar.

C'mon, how did you miss this one, Cat? Just imagine if I was the one who revived it....

And to think there are three people in one thread with names containing the word "shadow"....
