Premiere 6.5 should be called "All the crap that you can do for FREE, but integrated and slower!".


Well the Title Tool looks spiffy, so if you want spiffy titles and you haven't purchased something like TitleDeko or whatever that app is called then get 6.5 as it's a pretty l33t title tool(atleast it looks it).

Yes, the direct mpeg2 import seems to be really slow, maybe it's my computer, but I doubt it. I was really impressed with the realtime preview using AVISynth. BTW I have a 1.4Ghz Athlon XP.

If you can wait a few weeks/months, you should be able to get Premiere 6.5 bundled with editing packages for well under $500. If you rreally must have it RIGHT NOW, look for a Pinnacle DV 200 package w/ full Prem. 6.0 on pricewatch. you can find it for 230-250, I think.

Or if you dont have it, what do you use to make AMVs?

Nick, seriously, please tone down the venom and the profanity. There are forum rules against that kind of thing (remember the swear filter) and I don't thnk the mods will appreciate it, and I think it's also lowering everyone else's opinion of you.
