Well, I'll have to admit that it wasn't the greatest DVD player ever, while it could play every SVCD and XSVCD I tossed at it, it couldn't play 24FPS VideoCDs, it seemed unable to read 'Film' VCDs because MPEG-1 can't have a 3:2 pulldown on playback, it would cause the audio to drift out of synch. Unless I had the encoder convert the file from 24 to 30 and interlace in the process. (Yuck)

But since it'll take all forms of Mpeg-2, why bother with Mpeg-1? :)

Well, the MPEG file was solid with the MP3 steam, not problem, and WinDVD plays back the disk (I've burned the test disk now) just fine, but WinDVD isn't a really good proving ground since it's on a PC and PC DVD players will often have the most possable flexability since they often run threw Direct Show and VfW.

Tonight, I take my disk and go off to Wal*Mart to test the machines and pick out my new baby. I do love the look on clerks when they look at a girl who knows more about their products then they do. >:) I just wish that the current trend wasn't silver ultra slim players, I kinda love that retro mid 90s black box look. >.> Stupid progress. (I also hate most computer cases that arn't grey and boring. :D)
