im not a magix user myself but i would hope that there is a cutting tool of some kind O.o play around with the program a bit if you have it... it shouldnt take that long to find a cutting tool..

I usually just press 't' on the keyboard

...try pressing some random keys [and ctrl combinations]. You'll be surprised at the type of stuff you can do.
