Try checking your Add or Remove Programs in your Control Panel and un-installing any listings of Huffyuv you find. If you installed it with the AMVapp (which the last non-beta version installs should be 2.1.1.1), it should show up as Lossless Codecs, iirc. The huffyuv.dll that Windows uses should be located in your C:\WINDOWS\system32 folder. You can check the .dll file's properties to find out which version it is. Warning: uninstalling Lossless Codecs will also remove the version of Lagarith installed with the AMVapp.
I suspect the real culprit is a conflict with another decoder like ffdshow. If you have ffdshow installed, you can try replacing it with a newer version (I recommend installing the version that comes with CCCP, it's stable and configured to be less intrusive on most systems. Link in my sig. If you prefer the bleeding edge, Google 'ffdshow tryouts'). Or, go into ffdshow's Video decoder configuration and disable it's support for Huffyuv (optionally, you can disable ffdshow's VFW codec configuration in addition).
Having trouble playing back videos? I recommend:
