Visualizers in editing software

Post by BauziOLD » Fri Dec 22, 2006 7:21 am

I was wondering if anybody has experience with that stuff. I know that my MAGIX studio got a few, but... well I didn´t really used them often because most of them look ugly. :?
So I wanted to add a few visualizers. Are there a few to import?
Or let me say: Are there ways for visualizers in Vegas or Premiere?
I guess that there is a way for vls in AE, ´cause I have seen a plug in that let you sync effects to audio (or in nearly the same way). I get AE in the next time so I´m full of excitement.

I also looked into some winamp directories and found a lot of vls (oh really? ) and they were all .avs scripts ^^'
So why don´t load a avs into an editing software? I know that this is not the same as a avs video script but maybe there is a way for them. Maybe I can combine them with the AE script.
It would be very cool to use some neat looking winamp vls in an editing software. :)
Is there a way?

do you mean an ACTUAL visualization, like where it's syncing with audio, or just a waveform?
if all your looking for is wave form, just render lightning and make it white. if you really want it to look authentic, make a second one on top of it and set it at a different value so they movie at different rates. that way it looks like theres 2 waveforms on top of eachother.
not sure about real visualization though.
KioAtWork: I'm so bored. I don't have class again for another half hour.
Minion: masturbate into someones desk and giggle about it for the remaining 28 minutes

For Winamp visualizations you would need to video capture it with a program like Snagit
There probably isn't a way you can just import those in an editing software.
Some of those can look really neat when you blend them in with scenes in an video.
I've done that before in a older vid and one I made for a mep.
You can get Snagit here

That was the reason why I tried some things out, because:
SnagIt didn´t really worked (has some codec problems and I´m too lazy now to reinstall) ^^'

Oh yeah, I had problems with some codecs in that program too before
You can try this one then
It shouldn't give any problems with capturing video
