Square pixel conversion for a still image
I'm tring to create a still for my new AMV at 720X480 with letterboxing. I used VdubMod to take a snapshot of my AVISynth file and it is the right size, but when I import it into Premiere there is black space on the left and right sides. I know this is because the image is not Square pixels but (0.9). How do I go about making this square pixels?

Re: Square pixel conversion for a still image
Assuming your project is set up for NTSC 4:3 (and it sounds like it is), create your still at 720x540* with (whatever amount of black border at top and bottom), and resize that to 720x480. Alternatively, you can create it at 640x480 and stretch it out horizontally.Krisqo wrote:I'm tring to create a still for my new AMV at 720X480 with letterboxing. * Not exceptionally accurate. To get a better number, use the resize calculator included with amvapp or whatnot.
