Post by MasashiOrika » Sat Mar 11, 2006 9:16 pm

Hey,

Does anyone know nay good free video splitters?
I'll be splitting from fansubs also, if it's important to know that.

per forum/site rules, I have to say...
don't use fansubs if at all possible. (besides, dvd footage almost always gives you better quality)

I'm not sure what you're looking for...
try http://www.doom9.net/ you might be able to find what you need there

http://www.animemusicvideos.org/guides/avtech/ and http://www.animemusicvideos.org/guides/ ... th_dvd.pdf should help out too

1) Uninstall any installations of FFDShow (this is important because amvapp installs it)
2) Uninstall any Matroska (MKV) or OGG (OGM) splitters you might have.
3) Make sure you do not have any codec packs installed, if you do uninstall them.
4) Go to www.cccp-project.net, download and install the CCCP.

You should now be able to watch MKV, OGM, and MP4 without problems. As for getting the fansubs into an editable format, read the guides.

If you're just looking to demultiplex the video stream out of an AVI or OGM or something, VirtualDub would be suitable in most cases unless you're dealing with OGMs with subpic subs or anything with h264 in it.
