Ulead VideoStudio 4.0

Post by xxThe_RedestRosexx » Sat Mar 11, 2006 11:12 pm

Does anyone here have Ulead VideoStudio 4.0? If so could you plaese tell me why it will not allow any Winzip files? Most of the clips I need are Winzips. Thank you!

this is just a guess, but I don't think any program will import zipped files.
Try unzipping them.
as a side note: don't use divx or xvid to encode your footage for editing
If you are that strapped for space, amv creation will prove very difficult for you

Unzipping them did work but now the clips are playing upside down.

sounds like the footage is encoded with divx (typical for fansubs)
get the amvapp from the first guide that I listed.

in this you will find a program called VirtualDubMod

you can open up the footage in vdubmod, go to video on the top tool bar
select compression, scroll through the list of codecs and select HuffYuv
then go file, save as and name your file.

your file will be a lot larger (expect a file that is a few GB large)
but it will play right side up, and be generally better/easier to work with
