trouble with vegas audio compression

Post by Daajester » Tue Jan 10, 2006 2:15 am

Ok Im runnin vegas video 6 and it was working just fine...until outa the blue during a video rendering it just decided to cease letting me compress the audio to anything other than uncompressed...does anyone know what may have caused this or how to fix it. I have uninstalled and reinstalled and that fixed nothing. All my audio codecs still seem to work as I listen to mp3s just fine. Im just a little troubled that I cant compress my audio, any help would be appreciated thanks^^

I'm not familiar with Vegas but you could try exporting the whole thing (audio and video) uncompressed and then doing the compression in virtualdub. If you don't have enough space, export a compressed video file with uncompressed audio and select "direct stream copy" on the "video" tab when you load it into vdub.
And God spoke unto the Chicken, and He said: "Thou shalt crosseth the road", and the Chicken did cross the road, and there was much rejoicing.
